The American Red Cross Central Illinois Chapter relies on volunteers to help people prepare for emergencies, provide training in lifesaving skills, assist those affected by disaster and provide dynamic, interactive community education.
Without our dedicated volunteers, there would be no Red Cross.Volunteers often get back as much as they give; often much, much more! There are so many reasons to volunteer. Whether it's helping others recover from a family house fire, or teaching a babysitting course, anyone who joins the Red Cross family will find a place to belong.
"It's not home. It's not work. It’s somewhere in between. When you become a Red Cross volunteer, you join a new family. A family with a shared mission: helping others."
We can help you find the volunteer position that fits your skills and interests. Find out how rewarding giving your time and efforts can be! Get started by clicking on Become a Volunteer.
This video was put together by the American Red Cross- Louisville Area Chapter to use for volunteer recruitment. It shows what we do and how you can help others through the Red Cross.
It was created by Paul Beede, Manager of Volunteer Services in December 2008.
