Trained Red Cross volunteers and staff are ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help people in our community affected by disasters, including:
- Home and apartment fires
- Floods
- Severe storms and tornadoes
- Hazardous material spills
- Other natural and manmade disasters
All Red Cross disaster assistance is free. We can talk to you and determine whether may be able to help with such assistance as food, clothing, shelter and/or medical needs.

If you need immediate disaster assistance in our Peoria service area (Marshall, Mason, Peoria, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford counties), please call (309) 677-7272.

The Red Cross Central Illinois Chapter strives to assist all humanitarian concerns, even if it’s providing a referral to another appropriate community agency that can be of assistance. When in doubt, contact us.

Military Emergencies
Red Cross emergency communications services keep military personnel in touch with their families following the death or serious illness of an immediate family member, the birth of a service member's child or grandchild or when a family faces other emergencies.
